The testing of massage devices is primarily conducted in accordance with widely recognized domestic and international safety standards and regulations. International standards principally include IEC 60335-1, *Safety of household and similar electrical appliances - Part 1: General requirements*, and its specific requirements standard, IEC 60335-2-32, *Particular requirements for massage appliances*, both published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Domestic standards adopt these IEC standards by equivalence, translating them into the mandatory national standards GB 4706.1 and GB 4706.10. Furthermore, relevant safety standards published by organizations such as ISO and UL may also be referenced. These standards provide detailed specifications regarding test conditions, methodologies, and acceptance criteria, thereby establishing a unified and authoritative technical basis for testing that ensures the scientific validity and global comparability of the test results.
The evaluation of test results is strictly based on the specific clauses of the relevant technical standards. Regarding stability testing, the product must not overturn when tilted within the angles specified by the standard; failure to meet this requirement is deemed a non-conformance. For inspections concerning mechanical hazards, the standard test finger must not be able to access hazardous moving parts or live parts; protective guards must not fail when subjected to thrust forces; accessible edges must not be sharp; gaps between moving parts must not create hazardous shear or pinch points; and following impact testing, the enclosure must not rupture in a manner that exposes hazardous parts or compromises basic insulation.
