Testing for massage devices primarily encompasses two core categories: stability assessment and the identification of mechanical hazards. Specific testing parameters and subjects include: 1. Stability Testing: Evaluating the product's resistance to tipping under various usage postures and load conditions-for instance, its stability when placed on an inclined plane. 2. Mechanical Hazard Inspection: This involves examining the strength of protective guards and the dimensions of openings around moving parts (such as massage heads, rollers, and joints) to prevent fingers or body parts from becoming entrapped; assessing accessible areas for sharp edges and points; analyzing the risk of crushing and shearing at pinch points between moving components; and testing the structural integrity and durability of critical parts, such as the housing and handles.

The scope of massage device testing focuses primarily on finished electric massage products intended for household or similar applications-including massage chairs, massage cushions, foot massagers, handheld massage wands, and similar devices. The testing covers the product's overall structure, all accessible parts, and its moving mechanisms; it is conducted under the normal usage environments and load conditions specified for the product, while also taking into account foreseeable conditions of abnormal use.
